Indonesia Weather: Seasons in Indonesia

Temperatures and rainfall patterns vary across Indonesia, so the best time to visit Indonesia depends on the specific regions you plan to explore and the type of activities you prefer.

The Best Time to Visit Indonesia: Bali and Java

Dry Season (April to October): Enjoy lovely temperatures, lower humidity, and little to no rainfall. Just remember this is the peak tourist season.

Wet Season (November to March): Expect heavier rainfall and higher humidity – basically expect to be sweating – a lot! The positives of the low season is that the landscape is lush and green and there are fewer crowds.

We visited Bali, Java and the Gili islands in January and the weather never hindered our daily activities. Most of the rainfall occurred during the night and if it did rain during the day it was light and short-lived.
