We didn’t know what to expect from Oman, especially since we hadn’t researched the country much before arriving—given the circumstances, it was simply the cheapest flight from Sudan. However, we were pleasantly surprised.

In our opinion, Oman is an adventurer’s paradise and an outdoor haven with endless hikes and wadis to explore and enjoy.

Combine this with its rich culture, of ancient forts and vibrant souks. Oman makes our list of less famous countries to visit due to its unique blend of tranquillity and adventure, that we feel is sure to suit every traveler.

Spanning over 40 square miles, Bagan is home to THOUSANDS of well-preserved structures dating back to the 11th and 12th centuries, making it one of the most significant historical sites in Southeast Asia.

We’ve never seen anything quite like Bagan. We spent three full days exploring this temple-filled landscape and still didn’t manage to see everything.
