Getting to Cobh

A visit to Cobh is very straightforward. There are three main options for transportation—technically four, but we wouldn’t recommend walking!

By train: There is a daily train service with trains departing from Cork City train station (Kent Train Station) every hour. The trip from Cork to Cobh takes less than 30 minutes.

By bus: Another public transport option from Cork to Cobh is by taking a bus. Busses depart every hour from Saint Patrick’s Quay in Cork and stops meters from the Deck of Cards viewpoint in Cobh. The bus does continue on, so make sure to ask your driver when to get off.

By car: The easiest way to visit Cobh is by car. It takes less than thirty minutes to drive from Cork City. Just follow the N25 dual carriageway towards Cobh/Midleton/Waterford and take the exit at Junction 3.

Then, it’s simply a matter of following the signs to Cobh. Although it’s an island, getting there by car is quite straightforward thanks to a small bridge at Belvelly that connects the “mainland” to Cobh.
